Joe and I were just sitting around the house being bored and sleepy when Pease and Deuce, our neighbors, came over to ask if we wanted to make and eat dinner with them and Tom, another neighbor. Happy to have something to do, we went over and ate Mexican food (just chips and guac for me, carne asada for them), and we spent hours watching stupid shit on youtube before moving up to Deuce's apartment to watch Burn After Reading. After the movie, we called it a night--it was about 11pm, which is pretty early for our standards.
The night made me really glad that I'm finally at that point in my friendships with most of my neighbors that we don't always have to be doing something--sometimes nothing will suffice.
