I went to The Groundlings to see Kristin Wiig perform at their Wednesday night show. As I walked up to the theatre, she was standing in the lobby, her hair in a cute little ponytail, looking out at the window with a pleasant, reminiscent look. For just a moment I was so elated to be seeing one of my heroes in such an intimate seeming moment.
Shannon and I scored front row seats. As Kristin took a bow at the end of the show, she looked me in the eye and smiled, a little glitter of the stage lighting bouncing off her eyes and shining into mine.
(Also, I'm almost positive Alia Shawkat was there, standing right next to me. She looked older than she did on Arrested Development, which I guess is to be expected.)
