Today I got my thesis back from Gary, who has been reading and commenting on it for the past two weeks. Enclosed with the thesis was an incredibly kind letter which said, among other things, that the thesis is great and that he is proud of me. He also sent me an e-mail telling me to check my mailbox and reiterating both of the aforementioned points.
Finally, after months (actually, years... ugh) of slaving over this thing, I am getting recognition. It makes me really happy that Gary had such nice things to say about it. I'm glad that he thinks so highly of me and of my work.
